Welcome to The Colne Community School and College! We are very happy to welcome you and your child to our community.

We understand that the transition from Year 6 to Year 7 can be daunting for both parents and students but we aim to make the move from primary to secondary school as successful as possible. Our ARK values of Aspiration, Resilience and Kindness flow through our school community and we hope that these values will help support your child with their transition.

All students with a Year 7 place starting in September will have an opportunity to attend our Induction Day on Thursday 27th June. During this day, your child will have the opportunity to meet their Form Tutor, other students in their form and become more familiar with our school setting. There will also be an Induction Evening on this date for parents to ask any questions and to receive more information regarding the transition to secondary school.

Mrs Stannard will be your child’s Year Leader when they join in Year 7 and she will be leading the transition for our students. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact her via transition@colne.school prior to your child starting in September.
